Freshman from Mother McAuley Liberal Arts High School and Brother Rice High School gathered on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 to celebrate the Eucharist and share in fellowship.
The mass was celebrated by Fr. Mark Water, Chaplain at Brother Rice.
The Eucharistic celebration was followed by a social in the courtyard in front of the Mother McAuley Auditorium.
The Brother Rice community gathered on October 1, 2015 to celebrate servant leadership as represented by St. Therese and Blessed Edmund Rice. Senior Peer Minister Jack O’Sullivan shared his reflection on how the lives of St. Therese and Blessed Edmund are still teaching us important lessons today.
On September 10, 2015 the entire Brother Rice community gathered for the traditional opening of the school year liturgical celebration: the Mass of the Holy Spirit.
Father Mark encouraged students to try new things and leave their comfort zones. An integral part of the celebration was the commissioning of the Eucharistic Ministers and of the students who would serve as senior peer ministers. Peer ministers were presented with a cross to represent their ministry. Crosses were presented by Dr. Burns, president and Mr. Antos, principal.
The class of 2019 ended their Orientation Days by gathering for prayer in the South Gym. Senior peer ministers shared reflections on their spiritual development and lead the freshman in song and communal prayer.
